The Evaluation of the 2004 Pension Reform Act in Japan

Abstract

In this paper, I briefly describe the current structure of Japan 's public pension system ( Employee's Pension System and National Pension System ), the historical background of that system, and some of the characteristics and the problems with the current system and then the directions for reforming the system. In particular, the 2004 Public Pension Reform Act willl be focused. This Act aims to give response to the following issues : (1) intergenerational equity (2) high dropout rate (3) financial pressures among business sectors (4) women's pension right etc. Besides, the controversies remained in this system will also be examined. Though the understanding of the Japan 's reform experiences, this study will provide some practical recommendations for the future pension reform in Taiwan .

The Study of Singapore 's Industrial Policy and Human Resource Development

Abstract

Taiwan and Singapore are part of island countries, also occupies an important position of the economy. Their economic and trade are also the focus of national development projects. The economic success and good educational attainment also have the results tied for the Asian Four Little Dragons in the 1970's. But Singapore already beyond the development of today's other four little dragons, vertical modern country forward. And after 30 years became highly modernized country. Singapore is commendable results, what a city like Singapore-based small country. We have such a big impression in the international arena and the continuing performance of shiny worth doing an in-depth of study.

 

This paper analyzes industry trends in Singapore . We took to their human resources training and development strategy in science and technology adopting the "niche market" to find a high utility, and with commercial products. The HDD and multimedia products become to Singapore 's IT flagship product. The relationship partners between the government and multinational companies. Singapore in manpower training to request international recruitment and only will apply. Some Singapore 's practices we can learn from particularly in partnership with multinational corporations and employers on the internationalization.

Abstract

A round 1980 along with marketability reform's advance, China also started the old-age insurance system's reform. After the 1990s establishment partial fund system, system's switch has brought the unprecedented switch cost and the drive question and so on, this has not brought the serious burden for the wing abundant China old-age insurance system. This article analyzes China old-age insurance system's vicissitude by the economic viewpoint, how has analyzed the different time divergent interest group to promote the old-age insurance system reform, how will influence analyze the special interest group to have in the current situation to the next step reform. One kind of feasible old-age insurance system's choice also waits for further .

Service Concierge and Service Science

Abstract

In the face of the service economy, all kinds of organizations are required to enrich the service capability in order to meet pressing business challenges. Many theories and tools have proposed to enhance the service capability and performance, such as: service marketing, service quality, SERVQUAL scale, SERVPRF scale, new service development, customer satisfaction model, and so on. Beyond these, recently kansei technology-oriented service concierge and information technology-oriented service science are suggested to act as the promising approach to handle issues of the service capability. This paper therefore discusses the importance of both service concierge and service science, together with proposing a conceptual framework of positioning and developing service strategies as well as a model of service strategy and management in order to advance the study of service innovation.

Abstract

To identify opportunity is one of most critical key points for starting an enterprise. As the widespread of wideband network and the advance of science and technology, Web 2.0 has become one of most potential professions for starting a business. Following the trend of developing business of Web 2.0, more Taiwanese network new developers are expected to appear and adopt new network technology to pursue innovation to assist the rising and flourishing of Taiwanese network industry. This research is to discuss the characteristics of Web 2.0 and the effect of former knowledge and social network on the capability of identifying opportunity for starting a business. We also investigate the samples to implement MOE's “program of new generation network innovation and application” and “Web 2.0 new idea collection” by utilizing descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis, to perform empirical study. Some research findings are: (1) the developer's capability of identifying opportunity is more stronger for the one with open personality; (2) the developers with more knowledge are prone to have more strong capability of identifying opportunity; (3) the developer's capability of identifying opportunity is more stronger for the developers with stronger social network.

Abstract

The Ma Ying-jeou and his new government may impact U.S. Cross-Strait policy and the balance of regional political power. Mainly, that was resulted from the changing of Cross-Strait relation and the political structural balance and maintenance of East-Asian region. The U.S. Cross-Strait policy and commitment toward Taiwan , always is a section of U.S. global strategy that keep the stability for decades also. Ma Ying-Jeou and his new government may stir the reaction of U.S. in its Cross-Strait policy, that will be a good point for observing. However, this article mainly stress the part of Taiwan from its policy and is shaped the discoursing base from U.S. classical policy toward Taiwan . Additionally, to refer the opinions and trend of Obama new administration to research the U.S. Cross-Strait policy whether change or not. As well as, to study the most new policy of U.S. toward Taiwan and the significance or trend in the future. This article go from the “basic element of U.S. Cross-Strait policy,” the “new element of policy,” and “ambiguity strategy” such three items to be the observing index to assess U.S. policy will be.

Abstract

 

Cross- strait economy interdependence's formation, is the Cross- strait economical essential factor supplementary division of labor, the economics and trade close exchange, from this forms and the unceasing evolution one kind gradually “the structure” the relations. Cross-strait economy interdependence's structural feature includes: First, Cross-strait economy and the political entanglement background, causes its development environment to fill the uncertainty, causes the Cross-strait transaction cost excessively high result. Second, in Cross- strait the interdependence is following externalities existence, the negative externality easy to cause the conflict between Cross-strait. And penetrates the build-up effect to form the non-periodical bomb, has created the Cross-strait economic relationships frailly with the instability; third, Cross-strait economical interdependence's dissymmetry, simultaneously has the possibility which conflicts and cooperates, looks carefully in what kind “the situation”.

Abstract

“Politeness is also a service”, in all service industries, it is not just a slogan - for a good enterprise, whether it treats customers wholeheartedly can be told from the behaviors of its clerks. An investigation on 23 commercial banks in the Tainan region has been conducted during this study. It is discovered that the “levels of politeness” presented by every bank is not very similar and part of the banks need to promote their levels of politeness. This study can also observe the degree of consideration about customers by commercial banks, as can be taken as the key points to improve their future services.
